Jr. Construction Manager
Green Water and Power is a renewable energy installation & service provider headquartered in Los Angeles with operations throughout CA, AZ, NJ, and NY. We provide turnkey engineering, procurement, construction, operations, and maintenance services in solar, and electric vehicle chargers for businesses.
Duties and Responsibilities
Work with 1-2 installation crew on planning, organizing, and directing operations related to ongoing EV charging projects.
Ensure proper execution of day-to-day tasks of construction sites.
Collaborate with the engineering department to review and understand plan designs for EV projects.
Schedule and coordinate preconstruction site walks and postconstruction site inspections.
Assist in conducting final inspections on project sites.
Visit project sites to photo document progress.
Coordinate maintenance of company vehicles and equipment.
Coordinates access with site POCs.
Plan, organize, and coordinate daily operations related to EV project installations, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Communicate effectively with the procurement manager to procure necessary materials and equipment for project engineers and lead installers.
Pick up equipment from vendors as needed.
Coordinates delivery of chargers or equipment to project sites.
Assist field personnel with time reporting and expense reports and verify daily attendance.
Assist in creation of weekly crew schedule.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify challenges, and implement solutions to mitigate potential issues.
Foster a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency with the installation crews, ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
Assists in planning and preparing for construction of new sites.
Ensure crew’s execution and finalizing of permits.
Communicate any concerns to engineering and deliver messages to crews.
Perform other duties as assigned by Construction Manager.
Qualifications
Minimum 2-3 years electrical experience.
Minimum 3 years experience leading construction crews.
Strong business insight and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Detailed oriented and impeccable organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
Capable of handling various tasks of projects.
Ability to read single line diagrams.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle.
Must be ok with traveling throughout Los Angeles and surrounding counties.
