Looking to hire field technicians ASAP for a Waste Clean-Up & Battery Collection job in the Palisades (Hazwoper & Asbestos Cert Required)
Worksite Location: headquartered in Wilmington (bulk of the project in the Palisades, can travel to Inland Empire and greater LA County)
Shift: Monday-Sunday (7 days a week), 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, 12-hour shifts
Pay: $22.06 per hour
Overtime: Available
Duration: 1 month (with strong possibility of extension)
Job Description:
Looking for dedicated field technicians/general laborers to assist with an important waste clean-up project. As part of our team, you’ll be responsible for collecting and removing car batteries and waste materials, following all safety guidelines, and working efficiently on-site. This is a physically demanding outdoor role, and safety is our top priority.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in cleaning up waste and removing/collecting car batteries.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear a respirator (company-provided, no facial hair).
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Work with the team to complete tasks on time and with high attention to safety.
- Perform tasks related to clean-up and emergency response services.
Must Haves:
- 40-hour Hazwoper Certification (required).
- Reliable transportation and the ability to show up on time every day.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Must answer calls when contacted for work, as this role requires flexibility.
- Previous experience with clean-up and/or Emergency Response Services is a plus.
- Ability to work in outdoor environments exposed to high temperatures and sun.
- Work Environment: Outdoors, exposed to high temperatures, sun, and other environmental conditions.
- Tools: No personal tools required. All necessary equipment will be provided by the company.
First Day Expectations: You will be measured for a respirator (no facial hair) and receive job-specific training.
