Argon West, an established fabrication shop serving retail, film, events, and more, specializing in props, sets, pop-ups, and more, is seeking talented scenic carpenters to join our roster of freelancers. With our roots in New York City, we are excited to open a new shop in Los Angeles and need to build our roster with skilled professionals. Ideal candidates will have experience in both scenic carpentry and residential/finish carpentry.
Requirements:
Experience: Medium skill set, including:
Building and installing scenic elements for film, TV, retail, and photoshoots.
Experience with finish carpentry such as trim work, cabinetry, and detailed woodwork.
Knowledge of various construction techniques and materials.
Self-Management: Ability to work independently and manage your own tasks.
Team Player: Willingness to pitch in, clean up after yourself, and contribute to a collaborative environment.
Communication: Strong communication skills to ensure smooth project execution.
Promptness: Punctuality is essential.
Driving Ability: Having a driver's license and the ability to drive is a plus.
