We are looking for a skilled Machinist to operate a variety of machines to perform assigned tasks. You will produce or repair parts using both manual and automated equipment and accurate measurements. A great machinist needs to possess manual dexterity and an eye for detail. They must also have brief knowledge of mechanics as well as respect for safety precautions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Tend to machine that punches holes on leather or vinyl
Tend to machine that splits leather
Position articles on mold in machine bed
Position parts against machine guide and under punch
Review samples or instructions to understand specifications of output
Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job
Select appropriate machines and position for a job
Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed, maintain temperature and identify issues
Check output to ensure consistence with specifications
Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages
Safely operate all necessary equipment in work area
Keep work area clean and organized on a daily basis
Abide by all company rules, policies and regulations
