Position Overview:
This is primarily a shop position, focusing on the fabrication and assembly of millwork and cabinetry. While there may be occasional installation work (5-10% of your time), the main responsibilities will take place in our El Monte shop.
Skills and Education:
- Detail-oriented
- Understanding of typical construction processes, including tools, tasks, and roles involved in hands-on work
- Experience in the shop environment, including cabinetry, assembly, and joinery using shop equipment
- Meets productivity standards and completes work in a timely manner; strives to increase productivity
- Willingness to learn and utilize new software
- Some Installation Experience
Responsibilities:
- Commute to the shop in El Monte; Burke Interiors provides transportation to job sites
- Follow shop drawings provided by Burke Interiors
- Fabricate cabinetry and architectural millwork for high-quality residential and commercial projects (e.g., restaurants, casinos, offices)
- Utilize a variety of hand tools to cut, shape, modify, and install finished wood and millwork products, ensuring dimensions meet specifications
- Maintain cleanliness in work areas at the end of each day
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with the latest revisions of issued for construction (IFC) drawings, specifications, and any Request for Information (RFIs)
- Minor assistance with installations as needed, contributing to project completion and quality assurance
