Very busy electronic musical instrument repair shop in Los Angeles is looking for a Full-Time repair technician. We provide service and repair for a wide variety of professional audio and electronic musical instruments such as but not limited to amplifiers, mixers, speakers, DJ equipment, keyboards, interfaces etc. from different eras.
Requirements:
Must have 2-3 years professional experience repairing a wide range of audio electronic equipment at the component level. We are not in a position to take on an apprentice. We have a long backlog of repairs and are looking for someone who can be ready to hit the ground running. Not looking for Live Sound/Recording Engineer operational tech.
– Must have excellent soldering skills with both through-hole and surface mount components and devices.
Must be able to read schematics, data sheets etc.
Must be comfortable working autonomously with little supervision in a performance based environment.
Must have experience with basic electronic test equipment. DVM, Oscilloscope, etc. We provide basic tools and equipment but having some of your own tools is a plus.
Must be willing to learn and embrace new skills and new technologies.
Compensation is commission based. The more you repair, the more you make with no cap.
