The Metropolitan News Company has an immediate opening in Los Angeles. The position is responsible for, but not limited to the following: newspaper jogging, trimming, pressroom cleanup and any other pressroom/mailroom/facility related needs.
Ability to follow instructions to assist in press set up, operation and maintenance. Be able to operate hand carts, pallet jacks, stackers, and hydraulic feed mechanisms. Forklift experience, while not required, is helpful.
While this is an entry level position for the right person it will lead to training as a pressman.
While having these skills is helpful, it is not a limiting factor to your being hired. If you are a quick learner and reliable this is the position for you.
Wage and benefits, including medical, dental, LTD, 401K and life insurance, vacation, and more all make up this opening. This is a full-time hourly (non-exempt) position. Normal work hours are Monday-Friday from 10:30am to 7:00pm.
You must have a valid California Driver's License, with good record.
