We are a rapidly growing property management company seeking a skilled, reliable, and hardworking Handyman/Maintenance Person to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in general property maintenance and repairs, with the versatility to handle a wide range of tasks efficiently and independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general repairs, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work
- Unclog toilets, drains, and provide snaking services
- Install fixtures and appliances (light fixtures, faucets, etc.)
- Handle painting, drywall repair, and patching as needed
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot and solve maintenance issues quickly and efficiently
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and complete work orders
- Assist with unit turns, larger renovations, or remodel projects when necessary
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a handyman or maintenance worker in a property management or similar environment
- Solid understanding of general maintenance and repair techniques
- Proficiency in plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, ensuring tenant satisfaction
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Reliable transportation to travel between property locations
- Must own a variety of tools necessary to complete maintenance tasks
- Experience creating estimates for unit turns and other repair projects is a plus
