We are a fast growing technology installation company based in the south bay of Los Angeles. We service multiple applications such as: IT networking and equipment, voice and data network cabling fiber optic and copper (indoor/outdoor), data centers, security, surveillance, access control as well as audio-visual presentation/conferencing system.
We are seeking installers and technicians at various levels to join our team. Technician/Lead Technician and Full-time/Part-time positions are available.
One-ten years of experience pulling and terminating low voltage copper, coaxial and/or fiber optic cabling for voice, data and wireless networks is preferred.
BICSI and/or manufacturers' installer or technician certifications a plus.
Being computer literate and possessing basic paperwork skills are important.
We are willing to train the right candidates who are truly eager to learn. We focus our hiring on highly motivated candidates with excellent CAN DO attitude and are less focused on experience.
Job description:
Termination and testing of fiber
Cabling installation in new or existing buildings
Termination and testing of new cabling copper, coax and fiber
Troubleshooting and solving problems with connections
Capability to troubleshoot and configure electronics is a big plus (voice-data, audio-visual, security-access control)
Skills:
Self-Motivation to work reliably as part of a team or independently. Must be willing and able to learn new skills, to analyze and follow floor plans, written procedures and verbal direction.
Good communications skills with clients (and office) are important
Desired experience and knowledge:
Pulling and terminating low voltage copper/coax/fiber cables
General Cable knowledge (Cat 5E/Cat 6/RG59/RG6/ fiber optic)
Knowledge of telecom Color Code
The ability to pull cable, alone or with others
Knows how to punch jacks down to applicable standards
Effective verbal and written English communication
Proficiency with power hand tools
CCTV System (Security Cameras) - installation experience a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Able to lift/move objects up to 75 pounds
Able to carry and work on an 8 foot ladder
Utilize punch down tools and perform work involving repetitive motion
Go up and down stairs
Stand for long periods of time
Absolute Requirements:
Must be able to pass a background & drug screen
Must have a valid California Driver's license and personal liability auto insurance (basic legal requirement)
Lead Technicians must have crew management experience
