Palmdale Glass is looking for hard-working individuals to join our growing team. We are a full service window and door wholesaler, retailer, and installation company that is looking to bring on additional Window and Door Technicians. As a Window & Door Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting in the receiving, unloading, and delivery of windows and doors.
- Installing all windows & doors according to installation specifications in a timely and accurate manner.
- Checking for plumb, level and square on all window & door installations.
- Understanding technical details of a variety of windows & doors, including but not limited to: vinyl windows & doors, aluminum windows & doors, wood windows & doors, casement windows, awning windows, single & double hung windows, sliding windows, fixed windows, sliding doors, french doors, folding doors, stacking doors, pivot doors, etc. This understanding should allow you to diagnose and fix operational issues as they arise.
- Installing window & door screens.
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following:
- A clean driver's license is a requirement as you will be responsible for driving company vehicles periodically.
- A basic assortment of tools, including but not limited to: measuring tape, utility knife, cordless hammer and/or impact drill, pry bar, level, speed square, putty knife, caulking gun, etc.
- Some construction experience, although not required.
- Willingness to learn and ability to handle new challenges.
- Motivation and flexibility to work individually, as a part of small crew, or as part of a large crew.
- Ability to work on your feet for 8 hrs. a day, outside, primarily on construction sites.
- Ability to lift and carry 50lbs. is a requirement.
- Ability to work on scaffolding 2+ stories high is a requirement.
