Mustangs, Etc. is seeking a reliable, experienced Automotive Technician to help strengthen our talented team. The right candidate has passion for the industry, their skill and craftsmanship can be seen in every project they take part in. The Mustangs, Etc. Team has a focus on early Ford Mustang restoration, service, repair, and upgrades 1965-1973. We are looking for the right person that can help us meet our growing demands for Service and Restoration that also have excellent customer service skills.
Mustangs, Etc.’s hours are Monday – Friday 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. We do not work weekends or major holidays.
Located in Van Nuys, CA
Established in 1976, Mustangs, Etc. is a thriving Classic Ford parts retailer that also offers a clean and fully equipped Service Department with a loyal customer base. We have a fun working environment.
Duties can include:
Maintaining classic, vintage and performance/racing vehicles
Fine tuning of carburetors
Distributor curve setup and adjustments
Ignition timing setup and adjustments
Performance upgrades
Removing/Installing engines, transmissions, suspension components, etc.
Dress up engine bay and overall vehicle appearance to give the classic and clean presentation (original or custom)
Provide estimates on vehicle needs and explain details to administration and/or clients
Provide expert advice and recommendations
Rebuilding of suspension, brakes and chassis components
General repairs in all aspects of vehicles
Fabricating
Customizing
Restoration
Electrical/Wiring repair or rebuilding
Diagnose drivability concerns
Diagnose electrical issues
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years Automotive Technician experience
Must have a valid Driver’s license with a clean driving record
Must own tools and should reflect your commitment to the automotive industry and the years of experience.
