Role Description:
This is a part time on-site Smog Technician role located in Gardena, CA. As a Smog Technician, you will be responsible for performing smog checks and inspections on various types of vehicles, analyzing and diagnosing smog-related issues, and providing solutions to customers. You will also be responsible for maintaining equipment and keeping up to date with changes in regulations and laws related to smog emissions testing.
Qualifications
· Valid Smog Technician license issued by the California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR), Minimum FPR Score of .40
· Strong knowledge of and experience with smog inspection procedures, equipment, and codes and regulations
· Demonstrated ability to identify and diagnose smog-related issues and provide solutions to customers
· Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform accurate and thorough smog checks and inspections
· Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate technical information to non-technical customers in a clear and concise manner
· Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
· High school diploma or equivalent, and additional education or training in automotive technology or a related field is a plus
· A valid California driver's license is required
· Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
