Position: Yard Goat Driver (Class B or C) – $21.50/hr – Carson, CA
Location: Carson, CA
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:45 PM
Saturdays Overtime Required
Pay Rate: $21.50/hr Paid Weekly!
Minimum Experience: 2 years recent experience
Requirements: Clean driving record
Job Duties:
-Trailer Movement – Move trailers between dock doors, staging areas, and parking spots to ensure efficient yard operations.
- Yard Organization – Keep the yard organized by positioning trailers correctly for loading/unloading and ensuring smooth traffic flow.
- Safety Compliance – Follow safety protocols, secure trailers properly, and perform operations safely.
- Equipment Inspection – Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the yard truck and trailers, reporting any issues.
- Communication – Collaborate with warehouse teams, dispatchers, and supervisors to meet operational needs.
- Tablet Record Keeping – Log trailer movements, yard assignments, delays, and incidents accurately.
- Emergency Handling – Respond to breakdowns, weather disruptions, or other yard issues.
- Fueling & Maintenance – Ensure yard trucks are fueled and assist with basic cab maintenance.
- Flexibility & Overtime – Available for overtime, weekend shifts, and schedule changes as needed.
- Warehouse Support – Help with loading/unloading, scanning, and other duties inside the warehouse when required.
