Our dynamic sports entertainment company is seeking a Creative Writer to develop gripping storylines, engaging dialogue, and unforgettable character arcs that bring our brand to life.
About the Role
As a Creative Writer, you’ll be at the heart of our storytelling team. You will work alongside our creative director in shaping the drama, rivalries, and unforgettable moments that define our brand. You’ll be responsible for scripting promos, positioning talent bios for sponsors, developing long-term narratives, and collaborating with talent and production to ensure seamless execution under the direction of the Talent Director.
Responsibilities:
Take the direction of the Creative Director and bring the compelling, drama-driven storylines that engage fans and enhance the emotional connection of our characters and our fandom.
Write scripts for promos, interviews, and segments, ensuring dialogue feels natural, impactful, and aligned with each character’s persona.
Create and evolve characters personas, rivalries, and ongoing narratives that fit within the company’s creative vision.
Collaborate with producers, talent, and marketing teams to ensure continuity and execution of storylines across multiple platforms.
Pitch fresh, innovative ideas that keep our content exciting, unpredictable, and buzzworthy.
Adapt to last-minute changes, working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment where flexibility is key.
Help create and package new characters: names, backgrounds, slogans, etc.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in creative writing, scriptwriting, or storytelling (sports entertainment, telenovela, drama, theater, television, or live events preferred).
Strong understanding of dramatic structure, character development, and audience engagement.
Ability to write with flair, emotion, and a strong sense of pacing and tension.
Experience in collaborative storytelling, particularly in performance-driven industries.
Strong communication skills and ability to work under deadlines.
Proficiency in google apps: google drive, google sheets, google docs, etc.
