An award-winning writing school for adults is actively seeking a remote online Part-Time Copywriter. The position can be performed remotely from anywhere but candidates in Los Angeles preferred. In person work may be required.
Job Description:
We are seeking an organized, upbeat, and professional Copywriter to help promote our Writing School’s classes through strategic marketing emails, social media posts, website copy, and creative content development. You will work closely with members of our team to compose copy that maintains the company’s existing tone and messaging guidelines, while developing creative ways to expand our audience and digital presence. The ideal candidate will be able to implement new marketing strategies based on these insights. Candidates with a background in creative writing (fiction, screenplays, essays, etc.) preferred, since these are the types of classes we promote.
Remuneration and Hours:
per hour, depending on experience
10-20 hours per week
Main Responsibilities:
-Conceive, plan and execute email marketing campaigns
-Test email marketing campaigns for deliverability
-Create copy for social media posts
-Create copy for website
Qualifications:
-Must be someone who is interested in writing
-Excellent writing skills
-An understanding of the different genres of writing
-Extensive copywriting experience
-Preferably Mac proficient with some experience using Microsoft Office software
-A flexible attitude and willingness to try new things
-Enthusiasm for copywriting and strategic marketing
-Minimum one year of agency experience or one year experience freelancing.
-Attention to detail and strong grammar skills
