The Patient Services Supervisor oversees the daily operations of front office operations to maximize efficiency and promote effective patient care. In collaboration with the leadership team, regularly analyzes office operations and develops solutions to health center procedure issues. Is responsible for the supervision of front office support staff and the supporting administrative functions necessary to deliver exceptional patient care.
This position is responsible for:
Supervising the Patient Services Representatives (PSR) team.
Provides leadership for the department including direction, training, performance management and development of PSRs.
Manages the day to day operations of the front office including appropriate scheduling of patients, evaluation of workflows and systems, and other activities that maximize efficiency and promote effective office systems.
Manages operational problems as they arise
Evaluate eCW schedule templates for providers
Coordinates implementation of new or upgraded systems, is responsible for disseminating and training staff on new and revised policies and procedures.
Orients and trains new staff in conjunction with HR. Provides ongoing training for existing staff. Identifies and promotes programs for staff development. Coordinates in-service trainings.
Assigns duties to front desk staff.
Oversees front office procedures for: eligibility, open access, collection of patient fees, appearance of waiting room, no-show/late cancel procedures, and confirmation calls
Participation in leadership, CQI, and general health center meetings
Experience & Qualifications:
Minimum two years experience as an Office Manager or lead.
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
Demonstrated leadership skills: staff development, team building, strong communication skills, and ability to motivate staff.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with electronic health records (preferably eCW).
Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
