Afterschool Program Manager/Lead DSP
MATCH Disability Services seeks an experienced candidate to fill its Middle School Group Program Manager/Lead DSP position.
MATCH creates programming at the intersection of social wellness and recreation for young people with developmental disabilities, typically at a ratio of 3 clients per staff person. Programming is strengths-based, person-centered, community-based, and innovative. We strive to make active connections with other community agencies and members to substantially increase clients’ quality of life and expand their sense of possibilities.
MATCH is a very small program. You will work closely with the executive director and lead a team of one or two other direct support personnel. MATCH’s smallness is its strength! You will have immense creative control and work with a small team of co-workers.
The ideal candidate is passionate about incorporating disability justice perspectives, understands the history of the disability rights movement, and is willing to abide by self-advocates’ perspectives, as outlined in Autism Self Advocate Network’s Ethical Guidance Brief. The ideal candidate also has a basic understanding of applied behavior analysis principles and different kinds of disability, especially autism.
The program manager will assume responsibility for MATCH’s afterschool middle school group (7 clients, 5 days, 12-15 hours direct service per week, plus needed administrative planning time).
Monday: 3-5:30
Tuesday: 3-5:30
Wednesday: 1-5:30 (Will flex start time to 3:00 if needed)
Thursday: 3-5:30
Friday: 3-5:50
Must be able to work most school holidays when clients are out of school and in need of programming and 1-2 special events per month, like school dances, local events, and trips to the movie theatre. Must also be able to work fulltime during the summer to lead our summer program: 9am-5pm, 5 days per week.

Job duties:
Partner with the executive director to create novel programming at the intersection of recreation, social wellness, and disability: plan daily activities.
Reach out to local organizations to enhance programming and connect clients to greater recreational resources and opportunities.
Form relationships with parents that encourage open communication.
Lead full-time 9-week summer program in close collaboration with the executive director.
Participate in occasional evening and weekend programming.
Keep accurate record of clients’ time in session.
Flex into other roles as schedule permits and needs arise.
Assist the executive director in administrative tasks as needed.
Experience
At least 1 year experience working directly with children required
Experience working with people with disabilities preferred
Must have:
Driver’s license
Ability to drive clients in personal vehicle
Clean background check
High school diploma or GED
Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred

$25 cell phone stipend
$250 each year toward continuing education in this field
$25 per hour DOE
