Ukiah Post Acute is seeking an Environmental Services Director!

We are currently seeking a skilled Environmental Services Director who can manage the plant, housekeeping, and laundry operations of our facility. This is a Full-Time Monday through Friday role, which may require occasional nights and weekends.

As our next Environmental Services Director, the ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate leadership and organizational skills, and provide positive attitude, direction, and discipline to the Environmental Staff. This candidate should also have great communications skills, the ability to work closely with others or independently, is self motivated, and takes full ownership of their role, and the facility.

As the Environmental Services Director you will be responsible for the following, which includes but is not limited to:

- Supervision and management of Environmental Services, Housekeeping, and Laundry staff according to policies and procedures, and federal/state requirements that govern the long-term care facility.

- Maintain a high level of cleanliness & Safety throughout Facility grounds and in compliance with federal/state requirements.

- Responds in a timely manner to maintenance requests by other staff members or residents and their families for needed repair in their rooms or other locations of the building.

- Provides training upon orientation and throughout the year on General Safety, Life Safety and Fire Safety.

- Conducts all Emergency Management drills in accordance with State and Federal guidelines.

- Maintain strict inventory and order supplies as needed.

- Maintain all files and records consistent with the adequate functioning of the department.

- Performs regular inspections of resident areas and rooms for sanitation, safety and proper performance of assigned duties.

- Ability to manage Environmental Services budgets.

- Under the supervision of the Administrator, manages the Life Safety and Environment portion of survey and interacts professionally with surveyors during inspection process.

- Any other tasks as designated by the Administrator.

Qualifications:

- Ability to handle tools and equipment safely, make proper calculations for repairs and reports.

- Knowledge of OSHA, Life Safety Codes and Nursing Home Regulations preferred

- 2 years of management experience preferred
