Looking for a Guest Services Associate who can bring their experience and presence to the team.
You'll be responsible for creating extraordinary guest experiences for visitors, wedding parties,
social change retreats, and other events at this land-based retreat center in Mendocino County.
10-20 hours/week depending on season (busy in Spring/Summer/Fall, slower in Winter).
Responsibilities
● Establishing a warm yet authoritative presence for onsite guests and vendors
● Orienting groups upon arrival to the retreat center facilities and mission
● Guiding tours for prospective retreat and wedding clients
● Facilitating phone call meetings to capture logistical and setup details for events
● Maintaining a high level of aesthetic appeal of spaces and requesting maintenance /
cleaning when needed.
● Working up to 8-hour shifts onsite during check-in days, dependent on calendar bookings
(often Thurs, Sun or Mon) that may end as late as 8pm (more commonly 6 or 7pm)
● Attending team meetings, and assisting with projects as needed
● Tracking inventory and purchasing supplies
● Part retreat/camp host, part guest problem-solver, part innkeeper.
Qualifications
● Prior hospitality, guest service, or customer service experience.
● Good communication skills verbally and in writing
● Flexible and willing to take responsibility for completing a wide range of tasks each day
● Friendly and well spoken, able to do public speaking to small groups
● Familiar with rural issues with dirt roads, power outages, pests and wildlife
● Location: Boonville, in Anderson Valley, near Ukiah, in the south of Mendocino County
