The Human Services Department (HSD) seeks highly qualified candidates to fill six full-time Supervising Children's Residential Care Counselor positions. As a first-line supervisor, these positions will support the Family, Youth, and Children’s Services Division's Emergency Shelter program and the newly created Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP) at the Valley of the Moon Children’s Center (VMCC).
Supervising Children's Residential Care Counselors manage communications with county staff and external partners, ensure consistency in implementing Trauma Informed Care (TIC) best practices, supervise and manage line staff on assigned shifts to ensure all department needs are met, and serve as liaisons in supporting staff members and youth residents in either the Emergency Shelter program or STRTP.
