Hospice Services of Lake County seeks a Speech Therapist to provide speech, language, and swallowing assessment for patients as required in the Plan of Care. The incumbent of this position functions as a member of the interdisciplinary team with expertise in speech and swallowing therapy.
Masters Degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited college or university. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology from the American Speech and Hearing Association, or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year. California State License to practice speech/language pathology, as issued by the State of California Board of Medical Examiners.
A minimum of two (2) years of work experience with a variety of persons with speech/language rehabilitation needs. Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organization skills.
Possesses and maintains current CPR Certification.
Understanding of hospice philosophy and issues of speech and swallowing for terminally ill individuals.
Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is reliable and insured in accordance with state or organization requirements.
