Nursery Technician
Location: Ukiah, CA 95482
Compensation: $18–$20/hr + Bonuses
Employment Type: Full-Time (35–40+ hrs/week) | (More during high volume periods)
Contractor Position (1099)
We’re looking for a plant lover who enjoys hands-on work in a dynamic environment. As a Nursery Technician, you’ll help us care for healthy, thriving plants and support the growth of our operation from the ground up. This is a 1099 contracting position.
Responsibilities
Follow feeding and pest management schedules
Maintain environmental conditions suitable for vegetative growth
Understand and operate feeding systems including pumps, timers, and/or TrolMaster systems
Closely inspect and maintain strict sanitation standards
Care for different plant varieties using specific techniques
Cut clones based on cut schedule and whilst following SOP’s and methods for cutting
Assist with order staging and prep when needed
Experience
Must have previous experience working in a nursery or similar cultivation environment (2-3 years)
Strong grower knowledge, including identifying plant health and implementing preventative care routines
Familiarity with automated feeding systems such as pumps, timers, and/or TrolMaster control systems
Understanding of optimal environmental conditions for vegetative growth including lighting, humidity, and airflow
Attention to detail in maintaining strict sanitation protocols to prevent contamination or pest outbreaks
Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks in a fast-paced nursery setting
Must be 21+ with a valid driver’s license
