About the Organization:

Founded in 1998, the Redwood Forest Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) committed to innovative forest management. Based in Northern California, it owns and manages the 50,000-acre Usal Redwood Forest, one of the world’s largest nonprofit-owned forests. Through its “working community forest” model, the foundation contributes to the redwood region economy, invites community participation, promotes carbon sequestration, and nurtures a resilient forest ecosystem.

Position Overview:

Redwood Forest Foundation is amid an exciting rebranding process and seeks a dynamic Communications/Marketing Manager ready to elevate our impact. Your work will increase Redwood Forest Foundation's visibility, community engagement and access, and donor reach. Job Duties:

Develop and execute a strategic communications plan to enhance visibility and community engagement.

Manage content creation across the website, social media, newsletters, and press releases.

Develop and post fresh content weekly using a variety of communication platforms - blog, website, social media.

Design compelling marketing materials and donor engagement content.

Launch and analyze digital marketing campaigns across multiple platforms.

Maintain brand consistency across all forms of online and print media.

Track communication metrics to refine strategies and maximize impact.

Create marketing assets using tools like Canva and Adobe Suite.

Effectively utilize engagement tools such as Google Ads and CRM software.

Remain up-to-date with digital marketing, social media and non-profit communications trends to keep Redwood Forest Foundation at the forefront of engagement.

Qualifications (Preferred)

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Communication or Marketing

Experience: 3+ years in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field, preferably in the nonprofit or environmental sector.

Skills: Strong writing, storytelling, and content creation abilities across digital and print platforms. Proficiency in social media management, email marketing, and design tools.

Event & Fundraising Support: Experience in event planning, donor engagement, and campaign execution.

Community Engagement: Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders, volunteers, and partners.

Technical Knowledge: SEO, Webflow, CRM, analytics.

Adaptability: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
