Job Title: Tasting Room Associate
Location: Anderson Valley (Boonville, CA and Philo, CA)

Lichen Estate is a small, family-owned and operated, organically farmed vineyard and winery nestled in the picturesque Anderson Valley. We are dedicated to producing high-quality exclusively estate-grown Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris, both sparkling and still wines. Breggo Cellars is the recently revived extension and origin of Lichen Estate’s winemaking, focusing on site-specific offerings that reflect the unique terroir of our region. Lichen Estate hosts wine tastings and events daily between 11 AM-3:30 PM at the Boonville winery and tasting room. Breggo Cellars’ tasting room opened in February 2024, in the Deep End of Philo, in the iconic Apple Drying Mill (where Phillips Hill used to be). Position Overview:
As a Tasting Room Associate, you will play a vital role in creating a memorable and enjoyable wine tasting experience for our guests. Your enthusiasm for wine, excellent customer service skills, and commitment to providing exceptional hospitality will contribute to the success of our tasting room.
Responsibilities:
Customer Interaction: Greet and welcome visitors, guiding them through tastings and providing information about our wines, winemaking techniques, and the Anderson Valley wine region.
Sales and Upselling: Effectively communicate the features and benefits of our wines, promoting sales and encouraging wine club memberships. Upsell merchandise and wine-related products.
Hospitality: Create a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests, ensuring a positive and memorable experience.
Tasting Room Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the tasting room, including restocking inventory and ensuring tasting areas are presentable.
Wine Education: Continuously expand your knowledge of our wines and winemaking processes to provide accurate and engaging information to visitors.
Event Support: Assist in the planning and execution of special events, private tastings, and wine club activities as needed.
Cash Handling: Process transactions accurately and handle cash and card payments.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred.
Passion for wine and a desire to learn about winemaking.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

The official title, salary, and schedule for this position are dependent upon the candidate's experience and qualifications.
