Seasonal Forestry Technician

Green Diamond Resource Company is currently taking applications for Seasonal Forestry Technicians. The main objective for this position is to provide high quality field assistance to Registered Professional Foresters (RPFs) in the engineering of forest harvest units and associated roads for the development of Timber Harvest Plans. Along the way you will learn many other forestry related tasks that will help you in the future. The job works May through August or early September.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Must have successfully completed college forestry courses such as dendrology, surveying, forest road layout and design and logging systems.

Must have valid driver's license.

Must be able to successfully pass a qualifying course in ATV training.

Excellent observational skills including visual and audio, in order to gather and document accurate resource data.

Must be able to take responsibility for the quality of his/hers work products as well as his/ hers own personal safe behaviors.
