Hi there, I am a 33 yr old woodworker and I have a solo woodworking business building fine tables, gates etc. as well as fine cabinetry, w/ clients mostly in marin county but I am hoping to make a shift to reproducible online products on Etsy and through a shop on a soon to be new website. To compliment this transition, I am looking for someone who could be a woodworking apprentice for me part time. I would like to speed up my productivity by having a helper perform certain tasks that I can coach them on, so i can be freed up to get other work completed. This woodworking apprentice needs to have good health insurance, needs to want to learn fine woodwork and needs to know how to build the most basic fence, use a chop saw, use a tape measure well and be strong and able bodied. I can teach you things that i have taught myself but i cannot teach you to be focused nor reliable, those things are a matter of your character. My land and woodshop is in Upper Lake in Lake County and you would need to meet me there at the shop thus you would need a car. Once I have determined that you are indeed both reliable and helpful I can offer you 20-25an hr. depending on your skillset, with room for increase as business picks up, paying with cash or check.
