FIELD ENGINEER
Summary
The Field Engineer is the most visible of DAS Simplified representatives during the critical phase of system commissioning and inspection. They travel nationally to configure equipment based on observed conditions, ensure connectivity throughout the system, diligently check off tasks and coordinate with coworkers, other trades, and inspectors to ensure proper system operation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The following are the duties associated with being a DAS Simplified Field Engineer. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Radio coverage surveys including reporting
Site visits prior to system commissioning for customer coordination
Active DAS equipment assembly, configuration, and documentation
RF cabling assembly and testing
DAS commissioning and service
Fire alarm signaling and coordination
Daily summary emails during mobilizations to Deployments PM, RF Engineer, and PM
Clear, timely, and diplomatic communication with coworkers, customers, and AHJ’s
Mobilization debrief and documentation including expense accounting
Development and adoption of process improvement
Overtime and up to 75% travel with occasional (4 times/year) weekend work

Education/Experience
High School Diploma minimum
2 years in an Associate’s Degree in a technical field a plus
Language Ability
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, Ability to write detailed technical correspondence
Math Ability
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure. Comprehension of logarithms.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Spreadsheet software, database entry, accounting software and other software that may be required.
Certificates and Licenses (Required within 3 months of employment)
FCC General Radio Operator’s License (GROL)
OSHA 10 Certification
