Job Title: Food Service Worker
Job Summary:
The Food Service Worker supports daily food service operations, including food preparation, serving, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The role involves working with other kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food delivery and customer satisfaction while adhering to health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation and Service: Prepare ingredients, assemble food items, and serve customers, ensuring prompt and courteous service. Follow established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, workstations, and dining area. Follow food safety guidelines, sanitize surfaces, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Customer Interaction: Greet and assist customers in a friendly, helpful manner. Address customer inquiries, provide information on menu items, and handle requests or special dietary needs.
Stock Management: Monitor inventory levels and restock food, beverages, and supplies as needed. Alert management when inventory is low.
Cash Handling: Operate the cash register, handle payments, and provide accurate change when needed.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen and serving staff to coordinate meal service and ensure efficient operations.
Qualifications:
Experience: Prior experience in food service, catering, or a related field is preferred.
Skills: Strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for handling cash.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and work in hot or cold conditions as needed.
