In the need of a farm laborer/manager for two mature almond orchards (30 acres total) located in Turlock and Ballico, California. Minimal formal experience needed, but needs to be willing to learn. Will need to operate tractors (and can be taught), which requires only a Class C California Driver's License. A 4x4 work truck is negotiable if needed.
Duties will include: cutting downed trees, repairing drip irrigation systems, irrigation, rodent and weed control, mowing, general tractor work, and assistance with harvest in August and early September. Other work would include general maintenance of the farm buildings and any other mutually agreed to work.
Hours will be negotiated as needed and flexible hours offered. 18 years of age or older. Ideal for someone wanting to learn the agriculture trade or an experienced farm manager.
