We are looking for a dairy employee that has experience in milking/treating the fresh/hospital cows and feeding cows/calves. looking for employee interested in long term employment. Applicant must have experience, must speak english, must have california drivers license, must be clean and reliable.
Job consists of, but is not limited to:
- milking hospital/maternity pen
- treating sick/fresh cows- giving Ivs and shots
- scraping freestall beds
-feeding new born calves
-drying cows/moving cows
must be able to lift 50lbs mineral bags.
- know how to operate farm equipment
- feeding cows with tractor feed wagon mixer
- cleaning feed managers with bob cat skidster
- know how to read feed managers by feeding more or less.
This is a 10 hour shift 6 days a week with 1 day off. I also give 1 weekend a month. feeding shift starts at 3:00am. milking hospital starts at 5:00am. both shifts are 10 hours, 5 hour shifts with a mandatory 30 minute lunch in between. There is no housing available. wages will start at $16 an hour after 6 months of working possibility of a raise. probation period of 90 days. health insurance.
