Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst for WDC’s Consumer Solutions Business. The position offers a unique opportunity to participate in a wide breadth of high-value strategic projects and transactions. Our successful candidate is expected to partner with functional leaders in the business unit as well as other functions throughout the organization on several areas of our strategy process, from the formulation of business strategies to the evaluation of high-impact strategic initiatives.

You are expected to research new markets and ecosystems to influence and drive new areas of growth and transformation. The role is fast-paced, unstructured, and comes with leadership visibility, who often make meaningful strategic decisions based on the analysis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the in-depth analysis and execution of various strategic opportunities, including the development of comprehensive business cases
  • Conduct market and competitive research to provide support for strategic initiatives, ecosystem analyses and possible M&A activities
  • Develop well-argued and structured presentations to Consumer Solutions senior team, with clear recommendations and requests for approvals, as well as actionable and measurable plans
  • Partner with other functional teams such as Product Management and Product Marketing in managing and prioritizing the strategic opportunities
  • Participate in Consumer Solutions annual strategic planning process, providing project management, helping drive strategic thought, and uncovering attractive business opportunities
  • Support strategic alliances and partnerships by developing business cases and coordinating activities with various stakeholders
  • Help lead cross-functional teams aimed at achieving the strategic and financial objectives of the projects which can range from new market, partnership and ecosystem explorations to innovation and inorganic growth efforts

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience, whether in professional service (i.e. investment banking, strategic consulting) with a reputable firm or in the high technology industry (i.e. corporate or business strategy, corporate development, engineering, operations)
  • Knowledge of the consumer technology industry a plus
  • MBA with a bachelor's degree in business, economics, accounting, engineering, or any other technical or quantitative discipline
