The Line Cook (or, as we like to call it, the Brewery Kitchen Badass!) will flawlessly execute our small bites, sandwiches, and salads menu to keep our locals and tourists happily satiated while they enjoy our craft beer. This job consists of everything from food prep, to short-orders, to dishes, to running food in a fast-paced environment.
Pay based on experience, plus kitchen staff are included in the tip pool and each earn on average $6 to $10 an hour in tips (depending on the season). This role reports directly to ownership and/or the Kitchen Lead on duty. This is a non-exempt position that is eligible for tips and overtime.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain organized, well-stocked, and clean food stations to ensure food safety standards
Basic food prep (requires knife skills, knowledge of operating kitchen equipment)
Cook awesome grub for our guests in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff, following recipes and guidelines
Uphold standards of food presentation
Stock and rotate food items
Set up and clean kitchen/food prep stations throughout the shift (includes sweeping and mopping)
Thoroughly clean and sanitize kitchen
Follow all health, nutrition, and safety guidelines to ensure food safety standards are met and exceeded
Offer friendly, helpful, and quick customer service to guests

Is a team player through and through and realizes that the actions of an individual employee can affect the entire kitchen staff
Is dependable…reliable…shows up on time…owns a watch…WEARS a watch (you get it)
Has stamina, energy, and can be on their feet for hours at a time
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written directions
Passion for cooking
Willingness to work weekends and nights (we are closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays)
High school diploma
Valid driver’s license
Experience in customer service and food service industry with strong communication skills
Adherence to good food and sanitary practices
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to climb ladders
Ability to unload pallets
Ability to work in extreme hot and cold temperatures
Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
NICE TO HAVE:
Experience living around Yosemite (or frequently visiting)
1+ years’ experience working in a commercial kitchen
Passion for craft beer and the brewing industry
California Food Handler Card (it's okay if you don't have this, we will help you get it when you start!)
