The Airport Maintenance Worker is responsible to perform specialized maintenance for the City's airport facility; to help ensure that the airport grounds, runways, buildings and equipment comply with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations.

Experience and Training Guidelines
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Experience:
Two years of increasingly responsible experience involving building and grounds maintenance. Experience in airport operations and maintenance is highly desirable.
Training:
Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
License or Certificate:
Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate valid California driver's license.
A Class B California driver's license is required within 45 days of appointment. Failure to obtain this license may result in release from probation.
