$118,729 - $144,315 effective 7/1/2025
$122,291 - $148,644 effective 7/1/2026
2.5% Education Incentive - Bachelor's Degree
5% Education Incentive - Master's Degree
The Principal Planner is responsible to plan, organize, and direct the Current or Advance Planning Section within the Community and Economic Development Department; and to coordinate activities with other divisions and departments.
The Principal Planner reports directly to the Planning Manager; is responsible for complex land use projects, entitlement and Municipal Code review, and special projects with Planning Division of the Community and Economic Development Department; to provide highly complex staff assistance to the Director of Community and Economic Development; and to coordinate activities with other City Divisions and Departments.
