ISTC is looking for a mitigation technician to join our amazing team working for a family-owned local company! As a mitigation technician, responding to a water disaster or fire, we are often one of the first on site to begin the restoration process. It is important that we are empathetic, understanding and professional while we assist the client in navigating the damage to their home.
Responsibilities:
Perform water extraction, mold and smoke remediation to return properties to their pre-loss condition.
Proficiency in operating water extraction, drying, dehumidification and sanitization equipment as well as moisture meters.
Follow safety protocols and ensure all procedures meet industry standards.
Safely remove approved water and or smoke damaged materials such as carpet, tile, drywall and cabinetry, to successfully mitigate damaged areas.
Effectively communicate with property owners and with direct supervisor on daily progress and maintain a schedule to ensure all services are completed in a timely manner.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of the restoration assignment from inspection to final reports including inspection photos on company issued electronics (phone or tablet).
Ensure all company restoration cleaning equipment and vehicles are kept clean and properly maintained.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Additional training or certification in water damage restoration (IICRC) or construction experience helpful, but not required
Successfully pass a criminal background check and maintain a clean driving record.
Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening
Possess and maintain a valid driver's license
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, climb ladders, bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces as needed
Computer literate
Self-motivated, strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations while showing care and empathy to our clients.
Strong work ethic, task-oriented mindset, and attention to detail
Must maintain a professional appearance.
Available to work occasional weekends, Holidays or overtime as needed.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
What we offer:
Competitive pay range $20-$24 depending on experience. Entry Level position is $20.00 per hour

Schedule
Schedule varies but is primarily Monday thru Friday 8-4:30 pm, with occasional weekends and holidays as needed.
Full time 32- 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime opportunities.
