ACS is Seeking a Motivated & Detail-Oriented Panel Builder & AutoCAD Electrical Drafter to Join Our Growing Team.
This Entry-to-Mid-Level Position Offers a Unique Opportunity to Gain Hands-On Experience in Industrial Control Panel Assembly While Developing Valuable Technical Skills in AutoCAD Electrical Design. Under The Guidance of Experienced Professionals, You Will Layout, Assemble, & Wire Electrical Control Panels from Engineering Drawings, & Support Panel Design Tasks Using AutoCAD Electrical.

Education:
High School Diploma or Ged Equivalent Required.
Experience:
Minimum of 1 Year of Experience in a Panel Shop or Equivalent Assembly Environment.
Experience with AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical is a Plus
Licenses/Certifications:
Must Possess a Valid Class C California Driver’s License with an Acceptable Driving Record.
Must Complete Required Safety Training, Including Forklift Training Certificate, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) & Other Related Certifications.
Physical Requirements:
Must Successfully Pass a Pre-Employment Physical.
Must be Able to Perform Physical Activities Including Walking, Bending, Lifting Up-to 50 lbs. Unassisted, & Standing for Up to 8 Hours Per Shift.
Must Safely Operate Power Tools & Hand Tools Commonly Used in Construction & Electrical Panel Assemblies.
Must Safely Operate a Forklift in a Shop Environment as Well as Loading & Unloading Trucks.

Panel Shop Responsibilities:

Accurately Read Tape Measure
Read & Understand Dimensioned Layout Prints
Interpret Wiring Schematics (Training Provided if Necessary)
Precisely Layout Enclosures & Back Panels Based on Dimensioned Prints.
Drill & Tap Straight Holes in Sheet Metal
Cut DIN Rail & Panduit Accurately
Cut Straight Lines in Powder Coated Sheet Metal with an Angle Grinder Without Damaging Surrounding Coating
Ability to Determine Wire Size & Color Based on Component Load & Function
Conduct Point-to-Point Testing Using a Meter to Ensure Proper Wiring & Perform Self-Quality Checks to Reduce Rework.
Maintain a Clean, Organized, & Safe Work Area.
Follow ACS Safety Standards & Continuously Seek Ways to Improve Quality, Efficiency, & Craftsmanship.
AutoCAD Electrical Responsibilities:
Prior Experience with AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical Preferred (Training Available if Needed).
Demonstrate a Willingness & Aptitude to Learn & Continuously Improve AutoCAD Electrical Skills.
Assist Panel Designers with CAD-Related Tasks Such as Entering Component Data into Bills of Materials (BOM’s), Creating
Schematic Blocks & Adding Component Specifications.
Implement Redline Revisions & Updates to Existing Plan Sets.
Learn & Apply ACS CAD Standards to Produce Consistent, High-Quality Drawings.
Develop Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical Through Structured Training & Project-Based Learning.
Contribute to The Design Workflow While Growing Toward Advanced CAD or Electrical Design Responsibilities.

Compensation:
$30-$40 Per Hour DOE
Probation Period:
Must Successfully Complete a 90-Day Probationary Period
Drug Testing and Background Check
Must be Able to Pass a Pre-Employment Drug Test, & Background Check.
