Position Summary:
Interact with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about products and services. Prepare cost estimates for project and provide to customer. May visit jobsite to gain knowledge and details of project. Create time lines and cost estimates for requested work.
Essential Functions:
Regular and predictable on-site attendance
Confer with customers by telephone or in person to gain knowledge of requested work request.
Complete cost estimate and time to complete work.
Provide estimate to client for review and approval.
Keep records of customer interactions or transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints or comments as well as actions taken.
May schedule technician service for customers, complete invoices and enter data in billing or recordkeeping system.
Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information, take orders and address complaints.
Maintain and update records of customers in Customer Relationship Management system.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
High School Diploma / G.E.D. minimum; prefer Associate Degree or Trade School Certification in related field
Knowledge of general office procedures and systems such as managing files and records, running reports and general office correspondence preferred.
Knowledge and ability to read and interpret blueprints or specifications to determine size, shape, color, type or thickness of glass, location of framing, installation procedures and required material to complete work.
Knowledge and ability to provide quality customer service while remaining courteous and professional.
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products or similar software product. Ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines and achieve objectives.
Requires current valid drivers’ license.
Environmental Conditions:
Indoors in typical office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, fumes, vibrations, and temperature changes approximately seventy-five percent (75%) of the time.
Outdoors with exposure to noise, heat, and cold approximately twenty-five (25%) of the time.
Frequent computer use at workstation up to two hours at a time.
Frequently work at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.
May move (walk or drive) from one work location to another on an occasional frequency.
Physical Demands:
Mobility to work in a variety of locations, including working at heights.
Ability to walk, sit, stand, squat and climb stairs.
Ability to lift to 25 pounds.
Ability to safely drive a vehicle.
Compensation:
Pay is based on experience.
