Job Summary:Grover Landscape Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately and efficiently preparing comprehensive cost estimates for a variety of commercial landscaping projects. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial estimating principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with our project management and sales teams.Responsibilities:Thoroughly review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to understand project scope and requirements.Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.Develop detailed and competitive cost estimates, including direct costs, indirect costs, and profit margins.Utilize estimating software and spreadsheets to prepare and present estimates in a clear and organized manner.Obtain pricing from vendors and subcontractors, ensuring competitive and accurate quotes.Analyze and compare bids from subcontractors and suppliers.Prepare bid proposals and ensure timely submission.Collaborate with the operations team to understand client needs and project objectives.Work closely with project managers to ensure accurate cost tracking and identify potential cost variances.Maintain organized and up-to-date estimating files and databases.Stay current with industry trends, pricing, and new materials.Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as required.Contribute to the continuous improvement of our estimating processes and procedures.
