We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong background in heavy-duty truck and trailer maintenance and repair. You'll be responsible for keeping our fleet of Peterbilt and International trucks, and our 53' semi and roll-off trailers running safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
Perform DOT/CHP inspections and all required maintenance to ensure fleet compliance.
Conduct diagnostic troubleshooting and complex repairs on engine systems, including the Cummins ISX15.
Repair and maintain electrical, hydraulic, air brake, cooling, AC, transmission, clutch, and steering systems.
Perform welding and fabrication as needed for structural repairs.
Complete all necessary paperwork and maintenance logs accurately and on time.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications
A minimum of 3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, with a proven track record of working on heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
Proficiency with Cummins Insite diagnostic software and extensive experience with the Cummins ISX15 engine.
Strong understanding of diesel engine mechanics, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems.
Experience with Peterbilt and International trucks, as well as 53' vans and semi roll-off trailers is highly preferred.
Ability to perform welding and fabricating tasks.
Must own a basic set of hand tools.
A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform physical tasks associated with the job, including but not limited to, walking, standing, stooping, bending, and kneeling.
Must be able to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 50-300 lbs frequently.
Comfortable with frequent exposure to outdoor elements and varying weather conditions.
