Open since 1928 and owned and operated through 3 generations, Ray's Radio Shop is looking for a two-way radio / low voltage technician for various in-shop and field work. Duties:
- Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems, including ethernet, telephone, and fiber optic networks
- Perform field service work, troubleshooting and resolving issues with network connectivity and equipment
- Conduct network installations and upgrades, ensuring proper configuration and functionality
- Splice fiber optic cables and perform terminations to ensure reliable network connections
- Configure and troubleshoot networking equipment
- Utilize hand tools and testing equipment to diagnose and resolve issues
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a low voltage technician or two-way radio repair technician preferred
- Strong knowledge of low voltage systems, including ethernet, telephone, and fiber optic networks preferred
- Familiarity with networking equipment
- Ability to perform fiber splicing and terminations
- Mechanical knowledge for installation of low voltage systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot network connectivity issues
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical specifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
