Universal Staffing is seeking a experienced Bookkeeper with some HR background for a utility services client.
Candidate must have experience with:
financial statements, general ledger, A/R and A/P, ensuring timely payments, payroll reports and journal, general ledger transactions, including financial statements, paper and file year end 1099's.
HR duties include:
Administration of health, vision and dental reimbursements and managing billing.
Workers compensation billing and audits.
Other projects and responsibilities include:
Maintain auto insurance carriers, vehicle records, certificates of insurance
Manage business licenses , agency permits, payments.
Provide friendly service to employees that have accounting questions. Be available to answer the phones occasionally
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper
Experience with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel.
Strong understanding of financial statements and general ledger operations.
Familiarity with HR functions, particularly benefits administration and workers' compensation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Must be self motivated
