Bachelor’s Degree, or corresponding experience, with a major in accounting, finance, or related field.
Minimum 5 years progressively responsible experience in accounting or financial operations.
Experience working with multiple funding sources and cost allocations.
Several years experience in financial analysis and control functions.
The ideal candidate has experience of final responsibility for the quality and content of all financial data, reporting and audit coordination for either a division or a major program area.
Annual budgeting experience in a diverse, multi-department organization.
Experience with QuickBooks required, on-line Premier version preferred.
High degree of comfort with both hands-on financial work and bigger picture thinking and analysis; demonstrated ability to think strategically.
Strong written and verbal communications skills

The successful candidate will possess a solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Excellent computer skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, in particular formula creation.

Ability to perform work in an office setting, requiring ordinary physical activity such as extracting files and carrying case folders from one office to another.
Experience working in a not-for-profit setting is desirable.
