Temporary CVAC Concierge/Pool Attendant

The Carmel Valley Athletic Club Concierge is responsible for our members’ overall experience at the time of check in and navigate their activities during their visit and upon conclusion. T The specific job functions detailed below provides an overview of the requirements of this role. The employee’s expected performance is not limited to the job duties listed below, as the expectations are subject to change at the discretion of management.

This is a temporary position that runs from November 11 to December 31, 2024. The job location is off-site at the Carmel Valley Community Pool.

Position Overview:

Checking in CVAC members while providing a high-level of service

Always conduct yourself in a confident professional manner.

Overseeing the facility and assuring high-level of comfort and cleanliness

Light housekeeping around the facility and grounds

Checking pool and spa temperatures

Supplying Information to and helping members

Ensure a excellent customer experience

Adhere to company policies and procedures

Answering phone calls and understanding the POS system

Opening and closing the facility in a timely and thorough manner

Hourly walk-throughs of the facility to ensure cleanliness

Manage difficult situations, diffuse negative volatile situation and/or issues with members and guests while maintaining a professional and positive attitude.

Essential Job Functions

Positive, warm and outgoing personality

Professional demeanor, ethical behavior and excellent interpersonal skills with members and the team

Ability to work with computer systems

Flexibility and ability to multi-task

Flexibility in work schedule to include weekends and holidays

Ability to work semi-independently without direct supervision by following all club's procedures and standards

Ability to follow through on assigned tasks and demonstrate initiative

Ability to utilize PC station with MS Office background

Excellent communication skills in English orally, in writing and over the telephone

Excellent grooming at all times

Ability to work standing for six hours

Ability to work in all weather conditions- in and outside

Ability to carry and lift 50+ safely
