Associate Civil Engineer
Local Civil Engineering design firm specializing in civil engineering, land development and storm water management is currently accepting applications for Civil Engineers at various levels.
Job Description:
Performs routine engineering work requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying engineering related tasks. Work closely with project engineers to develop civil engineering construction documents (i.e. grading, drainage and erosion control plans, storm water control plans, and SWPPPs) for a wide variety of residential, commercial, institutional, industrial, and agricultural projects. May perform field inspection and testing to check performance or conformity with plans and specifications.
Preferred Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental engineering
2 years of Civil Engineering design experience
Professional registration preferred.
Proficient with AutoCad Civil 3D and Microsoft office (Word & Excel)
Valid California driver's and clean driving record
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Typical Job Responsibilities (under supervision of a Senior Engineer):
Prepare construction documents including plans, specifications and estimates.
Prepare Stormwater Control Plans and reports.
Coordinate with team members, clients and jurisdictional agencies.
Perform field inspections at project sites.
This is a full-time position with benefits. Compensation and discretionary bonuses will be based on experience and performance.
We are also looking for full or part-time drafting support. Must have AutoCAD experience.
