HGHB Architects is seeking a motivated Job Captain/Junior Designer to join our small, growing Monterey firm. We specialize in educational, institutional, civic, and commercial projects throughout the Central Coast and offer significant opportunities for responsibility and advancement.
Duties:
Assist with design, construction documents, detailing, and coordination
Produce clear drawings and documentation in AutoCAD
Support consultant coordination and QA/QC
Field verification + assist with construction administration
Prepare design presentations, graphics, renderings, and diagrams
Opportunity to contribute to and help direct firm social media + marketing content
Work independently and collaboratively within a small studio environment
Requirements:
Degree in Architecture (accredited program)
3–5 years experience; on path to licensure
AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Office required
Strong graphic design, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite skills highly preferred
Rendering capability a major plus
Revit experience helpful
Must be local; in-office position
Strong communication, organization, and follow-through
