HGHB Architects is seeking a Senior Architect to lead projects, manage clients, mentor staff, and play a key role in shaping the future of the firm. This position is ideal for someone who wants to take on real leadership responsibilities in a small but growing Monterey practice.
Duties:
Lead client communication + project direction
Guide design + documentation from concept through construction
Manage budgets, schedules, scopes, and consultant coordination
Mentor and develop junior/mid-level staff
Support proposals + occasional BD efforts
Work closely with the Principal on firm growth, staff development, and long-term direction
Help cultivate a positive, collaborative studio culture as we expand
Requirements:
Professional Architecture degree; CA license strongly preferred
10+ years experience with strong technical + management background
AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Office required; SketchUp/Adobe preferred
DSA experience strongly preferred
Excellent communication and follow-through
Must be local; in-office position
