Host – Vesuvio & Little Napoli (Full-Time & Part-Time Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA)

Vesuvio and Little Napoli—two beloved Carmel dining destinations from

Pèpe International—are hiring friendly, organized, and

hospitality-driven Hosts to welcome guests and set the tone

for an exceptional dining experience.

What You’ll Do

Warmly greet every guest and manage waitlists & reservations using our digital POS/host platform.

Communicate accurate wait times, escort guests to tables, and present menus with genuine enthusiasm.

Answer phones, handle take-out inquiries, and assist with guest accommodations (special occasions, dietary needs, accessibility, etc.).

Coordinate with servers, bussers, and managers to maintain smooth table turns and impeccable service flow.

Maintain a tidy host stand, restock menus, and thorough opening/closing side work.

What We’re Looking For

Outgoing, upbeat personality with a naturally warm welcome.

Strong verbal communication skills and ability to stay composed in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.

Basic computer/tablet proficiency; prior host or customer-facing experience preferred but not required.

Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods and lift up to 25lbs.

Weekend, evening, and holiday availability (we’ll work with you to set a balanced schedule).

Compensation

$16.50/hour + pooled tip share (hosts typically earn over 50% of their total income from tips). .
