The Briarwood Inn and Carmel Fireplace Inn are currently seeking a long term employee, for an immediate housekeeping position at our busy locations in Carmel-by-the-Sea!
Both Inns have an abundance of charm and elegance and are located just a short walking distance from the heart of downtown, shops, restaurants, and the beach.
We are currently looking to hire a part-time housekeeper, to work a minimum of 3-5 days a week. Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays.
Start time would be 9:00 AM each day scheduled.
End time is usually between 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM, depending on the number of rooms needing serviced each day.
Must be energetic, polite, professional, able to climb stairs and be able to clean thoroughly, while working in a fast-paced environment. Potential employees must have a flexible schedule, enjoy working with the public and other team members.
Duties and responsibilities of our housekeeping attendants include, but are not limited to:
-Cleaning guestrooms mid-stay and after departure
-Making beds
-Scrubbing and sanitizing showers, bathtubs, toilets, floors, countertops and sinks
-Cleaning coffee makers, refrigerators, microwaves and other appliances
-Replacing dirty linens and towels
-Dusting furniture or fixtures and polishing them
-Vacuuming and cleaning carpets, doormats and rugs
-Restocking guestroom amenities like toiletries and drinking glasses
-Removing garbage
-Reporting breakages, damages and safety issues for repairs
-Upholding the hotel’s confidentiality and security standards
-Respecting “do not disturb” signs and the guest’s privacy
Experience Preferred
Great pay starting at $21 hourly + vacation pay.
Tips are extra!
Pay increase after 90 days, depending on job performance and level of experience.
