Job Description:
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Part-Time Assistant Bagel Baker to join our team. This is a hands-on role that involves assisting with baking, preparation, and event support. If you love food, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy engaging with the community, this position is for you!
Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation, shaping, and baking of bagels using our established recipes and methods.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking area, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
Help wash Dishes and equipment when necessary.
Assist in preparing and assembling bagel sandwiches and other menu items during events.
Support inventory management by tracking supplies and restocking ingredients as needed.
Collaborate on ideas and able to grow within the role.
Requirements:
Basic kitchen skills; previous baking experience is a plus but not required (we are willing to train).
Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and occasional evenings for special events.
Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable transportation to work and around the Monterey Bay area is necessary.
Strong communication skills and a positive attitude. We are able to understand some spanish.
Passion for food and an interest in learning about artisanal baking.
