Human Resources Assistant (Part-Time)

A leading processing plant and shipper, is actively recruiting to fill a Human Resources Assistant position. Position reports directly to the Human Resources Manager, works independently and interacts with all levels of operations and administration in a collaborative team environment.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Human Resources Assistant's general responsibilities include but are not limited performing a variety of human resource support duties. Assists in maintaining all employee records and files. Completes assigned reporting functions involving attendance statistics, termination, hire and other information assigned. Responsible for gathering data, data entry, and creating files. Assists in informing new employees of human resource policies and programs as needed. Performs general office support functions and assists personnel as necessary.
ESSENTIAL PROFESSIONAL ATTRIBUTES:
- High school diploma or GED required. Extend education with concentration in related key areas preferred; will accept proven work experience
- Preferable 1+ years' experience in an office environment.
- Must be able to work nights and weekends or as business or operation needs arise.
- Must be able to handle difficult/confidential situations in a professional and tactful manner.
- Strong interpersonal, written, communication, organizational and analytical skills.
- Detail oriented and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline oriented environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and intermediate in MS Excel.
- Bilingual and Bi-literate (Spanish)
